Modify the grub startup option of BT5 R1 to get the full screen display of the virtual machine window

I installed BT5 R1 under the virtual machine, but the virtual machine window is a bit small, and it cannot be displayed in full screen every time I start bt, and I often have to jump out the mouse to control the slider. As shown:

Although vmware tools are installed, it can automatically adapt to the window size in the case of X-windows, but the entire content cannot be displayed before login and startx. Therefore, I want to reduce the resolution when bt starts.

Because BT is still used Grub is used to control, so go to the /boot/grub/ directory to find the corresponding configuration file. The general configuration file is menu.lst. BT uses the grub.cfg file to control. Find:

set root='(hd0,1 )'

search - no-floppy --fs-uuid --set 7b821db2-3a3f-4b3f-8a4f-203de73b562f

if loadfont /usr/share/grub/unicode.pf2; then

set gfxmode=1024x768

set gfxpayload=keep

insmod gfxterm

insmod vbe

if terminal_output gfxterm; then true; else

# For backward compatibility with versions of terminal.mod that don't

# understand terminal_output

terminal gfxterm

Change gfxmode=1024x768 to 800x600.

also found:

class gnu --class os {

< p style="word-wrap: break-word; margin: 5px 0px; font-family:'sans serif', tahoma, verdana, helvetica; line-height: 18px; ">recordfail

insmod ext2

set root='(hd0,1)'

search --no-floppy --fs- uuid --set 7b821db2-3a3f-4b3f-8a4f-203de73b562f

linux/boot/vmlinuz- root=UUID=7b821db2-3a3f-4b3f-8a4f-203de73b562f ro text splashvga=791

Change vga=791 to 788 (788 is the decimal code corresponding to 800x600 resolution with 16-bit color quality, and 791 is 1024x768).

Save the grub.cfg file , Restart it.
